Meet the Creator
Her name is Kay
Kay is a graduate from the University of Kansas, where she received her Bachelors Degree in Women, Gender and Sexuality studies. While attending the university, Kay discovered how reproductive health disparities were impacting women on a structural level. This discovery pushed her into the world of social engagement, which lead her to helped found and contribute to notable projects such as Kansas City Girls Preparatory Academy, the city's first-single gendered girls school that focused on young women's collegiate success.
Kay then took her talents to Clark Atlanta University, where she received her Masters in Social Work, in hopes of becoming a reproductive health therapist. While at Clark Atlanta University, Kay received notable awards and fellowships due to her research surrounding contraceptive care. Awards include the Thurgood Marshall Novartis Graduate Fellowship, HBCU Cares Fellowship, and her research being awarded at CAU's Research Day.
Kay is currently studying to receive her Doctorate in Health Administration at Morehouse School of Medicine and is dedicating her studies assessing solutions to contraceptive care deserts within the United States. She is currently a Licensed Social Worker, Therapist and ETR Black Public Health Influencer. Kay desires to amplify women's reproductive health concerns in hopes to create positive sexual health outcomes for the populations that she serves.
